Welcome to TEWIN PRIVATE ESTATE. The glorious Tewin Water House holds a great deal of rich and dramatic historical significance. Originally build in 1798 to accommodate Lord Cowper and later acquired by the diamond magnate, Albert Beit, Tewin Water House, was restored to its former glory and converted into luxurious and elegantly appointed homes in 2001.
Tyron Ash Real Estate is excited to bring to you a rare opportunity to buy one of the stylish apartments, a charming wing of the majestic and famous Tewin Water House. The large and versatile duplex retained many period features, with generously sized rooms, large sash windows and good ceiling heights.
The apartment
Offering 4016 sqft of internal living space. It can be accessed via the grand main front door or by its own private entrance from the courtyard. Upon entering the home, you are welcomed by a long entrance hallway, that has access to the entire house.
The voguish apartment consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 of them with their own ensuite.
The master bedroom also comes with its own walk in wardrobe. The 3 other bedrooms are part of an additional living space, that has a different feel from the rest of the home, is very spacious and can easily accommodate an entire family.
Furthermore, the two main reception rooms have their own individual personality. Both the Summer room (drawing room) and the Winter room (library) benefit from an abundance of natural light and are fantastic entertaining spaces. French doors from the drawing room open out directly onto the front gardens, which are mainly laid to lawn and bounded by the River Mimram. The kitchen and dining room have an open plan setting.
There is plenty of storage space throughout, giving the apartment an immaculate feel.
The main building
Is accessed via a long tree lined driveway with carriage entrance. The communal landscaped gardens have been reinstated to conform with the original plans of the noted landscape architect Sir Humphrey Repton and form a beautiful and private parkland setting.

Lady Beit eventually left Tewin Water in 1946 and it was sold to Hertfordshire County Council who converted it into a school.
